In this edition of “In” Style!, I wanted to give you all some insight on how to stay ahead of the crowd by knowing what’s “in” in accessories. I recently interviewed Gina Nigrelli of Jules Smith Designs to give us the down-low on what accessories to rock this season.

How would you describe your personal style?
Island chic. I try and make my style appear effortless. I don’t like a lot of fuss over an outfit.

What’s one item that you can’t live without and why?
My running shoes, I would be fat and depressed without them. =)

In addition to a statement handbag and shoes that are to die for, what would you consider to be the hottest accessories this fall/winter?

No ensemble is complete without that perfect piece of jewelry. With that in mind, what piece(s) of jewelry should every girl own?
A long necklace with a large pendant, it dresses up any outfit.

Is BIGGER always better when it comes to accessories?
YES. Just look at my line!

What accessory trends should stay and which ones should go?
Sweater bangles should not be allowed anywhere, ever. I’m a huge fan of super long necklaces, those will always have a place on my must have list.

What are your trend predictions for Spring 2008?
[Animal] Skin is in! We are working on some great [animal] skin pieces for Spring.
